We grew up in North Carolina, with our feet in the sand by three months old. Over two decades, we watched a biodiverse sound transform into a barren ecosystem from coastal development. Like the fish leaving the sound, we went our separate ways to pursue our own ocean-related careers.

Now, a decade later, as a shark diver (Diana) and fisheries ecologist (Sally), we are joining forces to make waves in marine science with our non-profit Twin Fins Alliance.

Our research and outreach efforts focus on marine predators, fisheries, and the communities that depend on them.
